How Does It Work?
By using two foolproof methods, your pool water will be clean and sanitary, allowing more enjoyment and less stress in maintaining your swimming pool. The dual method combining 3-Natural Minerals, and Natural Oxygen is not only super effective at keeping your pool clean and clear, but it is also much safer than swimming in chemicals added to the water. The one-two punch of 3-Natural Minerals and Natural Oxygen is proven to kill even more microorganisms than Chlorine, and that includes all that pesky green algae!
The 3-Natural Minerals:
Studies have shown that an ideal method of sanitation is to use a combination of 3 elements: Silver, Copper, and Zinc. These 3-Natural Elements combine to break down cellular material thus killing microorganisms such as Bacteria and Algae. G.R. Taylor, at Surrey University, proposed a dual disinfection method after his tests showed that: “Two or more different chemicals (metals) added together may allow more efficient disinfection kinetics to be achieved. One substance targets the surface of a micro-organism killing and injuring the cells while a second substance targets the nucleic acid of the micro-organism destroying the remaining injured micro-organisms. By using this method of dual disinfection, reduced levels of both substances may be more effective than much higher levels of either individual substance.”
The Oxygen:
Green Smart uses Non-Chemical created Oxidation to perform the role that Chlorine or Hydrogen Peroxide would normally play in oxidizing or breaking down dirt, oils and other dead organic matter in the pool water. Oxidation is achieved by water passing through The Green Smart Chamber which is plumbed into your filtration system. A low voltage electrical current is sent to the Specially Coated Titanium Plates in the Chamber which break the water molecule up into oxygen radicals. Oxidation mode runs 24 hours a day, creating electrolysis which in turn causes the electro-physical separation of water into free Oxygen (O1) atoms and Hydroxyl radicals (OH). This Process creates a combination of the Most Powerful Oxidizers available for water disinfection. These oxidizers are responsible for eliminating body oils, sun tan lotions and as well as the dead organic matter killed by the 3-Natural Minerals. The Green Smart System produces Oxidizers well above the level that is available with ozone generating systems. Also, this type of oxidation is more powerful than the dominant form of Chlorine. Our Titanium Plates come with a 5 year warranty. Polarity is reversed (with our controller) alternating cathode and anode, allowing for self cleaning of our electrodes.
Just Follow These Six Simple Steps!
1.) Place minerals in at the beginning of each pool season or every 6 months, whichever occurs first. Indoor pools only have to replace once every 12 months due to reduced exposure to environmental contaminants.
2.) Place the rejuvenating mineral cartridge in either your skimmer basket or pump well and empty baskets periodically to ensure debris does not block water’s access to rejuvenating chamber.
3.) Set up Oxidizer box to be supplied 110 V or 220 V whenever pump is running. This can be accomplished by running pump 24 hours per day or by placing oxidizer box on timer which is synchronized with pump timer.
4.) Check water chemistry and attempt to maintain Alkalinity between 80-100ppm and Calcium Hardness between 250-400ppm.
5.) Maintain pH within a range of 6.8-7.2ppm shooting for a true neutral pH of 7.0 by checking pH twice a week and adjusting with either additions of pH Up or pH Down products.
